With 450 men's and women's basketball teams across the NAIA, ranking or comparing them all isn't easy. Traditional coaches' polls and the "eye test" can only go so far when there are so many games and conferences to track.
That's where the CSPI comes in. Our Statistics Team created an algorithm to evaluate every single NAIA men's and women's basketball team in the country. It looks at wins, strength of schedule, performance stats, and more to give each team a CSPI rating.
The best part? That score helps predict who would likely win in a head-to-head matchup between any two teams. Think of it as a data-driven way to answer: "Who would win if these two teams played right now?"
